Habitat Florida 2023 Affiliate Conference: General Information

We are excited to welcome you to our in-person 2023 Habitat Florida Affiliate Conference! This year’s theme is Be the Change: Build More, Serve More. Given the affordable housing crisis that exists in our state and pressures experienced by all affiliates in the 5 “L’s” Labor, Lumber, Land, Lending, and Laws, our affiliates have had to constantly pivot to serve our communities. Change is persistent and yet in spite of all the challenges, the majority of our affiliates are scaling up to build more and serve more. We have also lined up an incredible slate of sponsors and vendors to share their wealth of knowledge with our affiliate network! Thank you for your participation! If you are looking to book your rooms for the conference, you can do so here. The hotel will discount the taxes with a copy of your tax-exempt certificate. This conference is exclusively for Florida affiliate employees and volunteers.

We are so excited to offer 30 breakout sessions, 3 plenary sessions, 2 evening receptions (with beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres!), and lots of time to network with our colleagues from other Florida affiliates and HFHI! See you soon!

Please make your schedules on the SCHED app! If you are not able to make a schedule, there will still be room for you to attend the breakout sessions of your choosing!

The Shores offers Complimentary Handicapped Parking on the upper North Lot on the Resort side. Please pull right up to Valet for assistance.

The Daytona Beach area was severely impacted by Hurricane Ian, we encourage attendees to visit local restaurants for dinners. Daytona Beach is home to so many great restaurants and things to do! If you are looking to learn more about the area, check out the Daytona Beach Visitor's Bureau website!

COVID-19 symptoms and screening:

All attendees, sponsors, and speakers are responsible for continually monitoring themselves to assess if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Participants experiencing symptoms are required to isolate until they can be tested for COVID-19 by a health official.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can include: • Fever or chills • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Fatigue • Muscle or body aches • Headache • New loss of taste or smell • Sore throat • Congestion or runny nose • Nausea or vomiting • Diarrhea
